Stellina Dessert Cafe Open On Allen Street

Stellina is now open at 95 Allen Street, serving ice cream, cookies, cakes and more.  Stellina, and the successful Sorella restaurant next door,  is owned by Emma Hearst, the great-great granddaughter of William Randolph Hearst. Read the Stellina review from the NY Times…

“The ice cream here follows three schools of thought. There are pure flavors like fior di latte, so delicate and pretty, or dark chocolate sorbetto, as dense as a reduction. There are composed flavors like coconut stracciatella (coconut gelato with chocolate flakes) or Giandujotto (named for a candy from Turin), hazelnut gelato with fudge.”
