Is A Stealth Starbucks Still A Starbucks?

I am definitely not a Starbucks person, which is why I find the idea of a stealth Starbucks so interesting. It’s a way to trick people who don’t like traditional Starbucks into going to Starbucks anyway. Take a look at this report from Tribeca Citizen about the possibility of a Starbucks stealth store opening up on Leonard and Varick….

New Latin Luncheonette Coppelia Expanding Hours

Here’s a story from Eater about the new Latin diner Coppelia located at 207 W 14th Street. They’re expecting to have a full bar soon and will be expanding their hours to 24/7…

“What’s the best thing on the menu? The huevos rancheros, because you can order them any time. We have a Cuban sandwich with shredded pork and ham, and it’s delicious. There’s also a similar sandwich called a pan con lechon and they put smoked pieces of pork rind in there, so when you bite into the sandwich, there’s some crunch and it’s delicious.”

Apps To Help Navigate Central Park

The NY Times has the details on some creative apps for iPhone and Android to help enhance, or detract from,  your Central Park experience…..

“From the listener’s perspective, the greatest potential for the app comes from the Geoplay mode, in which it automatically plays stories relevant to your location. When I turned this mode on while walking into Central Park, a historian began telling details of the park’s conception and construction.”
