After 45 Years American Choice Deli On Delancey Closes

Sure it’s just a deli, but it’s sad when any business that has lasted 45 years closes down. American Choice Deli, which has been in business since 1966 and is located diagonally across from the Essex Street Market, announced its closing over the weekend in a note posted on its front door. Here’s more from Bowery Street Boogie…

“There is already a replacement tenant waiting in the wings. Now that American Choice Deli closed its doors, the adjoining Chase Bank will reportedly swoop in and annex the space. Between both its nearby locations, Chase now operates a monopoly of sorts along this strip of Delancey.”
